Time: Approximately 1 hour: once a week, once every two weeks, etc. (We schedule lessons as we go)

Description: Private, In-Home Lessons are catered to your household and your dog. Together, we set the agenda for each lesson. We are available to teach lessons Monday through Saturday throughout the day. Typically our calendars book about three to four weeks in advance for in-home lessons.
Topics covered: typically we begin with “Behavior Training” – any inappropriate behaviors we may need to discuss: house-training, mouthing, jumping, attention grabbing, chewing, etc.; We will teach you exercises in gaining your dog’s attention, teaching your dog to appropriately greet people, developing self control, introducing obedience commands, gaining reliability with obedience commands. Lessons are catered to your dog and your family.
We will begin the training process by initially setting up an Evaluation. For the evaluation, we come out to your home. It gives us a chance to get to know your family and interact with your dog. We will start off with some background information, discuss the main issues you are having with your dog and will leave you with training exercises to get started on.
Also, at that point, we will decide what we would do next, as far as scheduling our first private lesson or consider joining one of the group classes. All of our lessons are taught on a pay per lesson basis. With some families we teach 10 lessons, other families we teach 4 lessons. It depends on how far you would like to excel with your dog with the training.
